Research and Technology Organisations, SMEs and clusters of companies from Central Europe will meet on an online platform on May 7th to set up innovative projects and ideas based on cutting edge technologies. The KETGATE project organises this matching event and assists companies.
KETGATE and more than 25 Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) Local Contact Points from all over Central Europe have joined forces to organize this completely virtual brokerage event. The idea is that SMEs and RTOs get together to workout cooperation agreements.
After the great success of the Matchmaking event organized by KETGATE in Venice (Italy) on January 31st, 2019, a second round was planned to take place in Budapest (Hungary) on May 7th, 2020. However, to face the current situation generated by the outbreak of the COVID-19, we decided to upgrade the event to a completely virtual environment.
This unique matchmaking activity with pre-arranged b2b meetings will offer companies the opportunity to meet representatives of EU leading applied research organisations and innovative enterprises. Researchers, moreover, will have the double chance to present their innovative technologies to SMEs’ representatives and to find synergetic collaborations with other research players active in the field of key enabling technologies.
The KETGATE project is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund via Interreg Central Europe and offers companies and key enabling technology providers the unique possibility to meet and find valuable collaboration opportunities to exploit innovation potentialities.
One of the highlights of the event will take place from 10:00 to 11:00, just before the pre-arranged b2b meetings start to happen, as a webinar and a press conference will provide the framework for the official launch of the KETGATE Network.
The mission of the KETGATE Network is to help businesses reach science and to help science reach businesses. For the moment, the network consists of eight KETGATE Points covering a big part of Central Europe. All KETGATE Points are experts in the field of technology transfer and are important stakeholders in their regions.
The network is called to grow, so let us know if you are interested in becoming a part of it.
After the official launch of the network, all KETGATE Points will be available to provide their consultancy services to the RTOs and SMEs who request a meeting during the time allotted for the b2b matchmaking sessions (11:00 – 17:00). Don’t hesitate to pre-arrange a meeting with your regional KETGATE Point who will be happy to advice you on their different services and to facilitate the dialogue and cooperation between science and businesses.
